Claude Blankenship
Founder & Author of The Faithful Steward
Claude E. Blankenship is a seasoned Certified Public Accountant and the founder of Blankenship CPA Group, PLLC, a prominent accounting firm based in Brentwood, Tennessee. After earning his degree from the Bowling Green College of Commerce (now Western Kentucky University) in 1963, Claude began his career with the Internal Revenue Service, serving as an agent for five years. In 1970, he co-founded Blankenship, Summar & Associates, which grew to become one of Tennessee's largest local CPA firms. This firm later merged with Touche Ross (now Deloitte), where Claude led acquisition efforts in the Southeastern U.S.
In 1992, Claude established Blankenship CPA Group, PLLC, which has expanded to nearly 200 team members across multiple offices in Middle Tennessee. His expertise spans tax, audit, consulting, mergers and acquisitions, and expert witness services. Claude has held leadership roles in both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), where he served as past president and is a lifetime council member.
Beyond his professional achievements, Claude is deeply committed to his faith and community. He has served on various nonprofit boards in Middle Tennessee. Claude cherishes time with his six children and thirteen grandchildren, often engaging in travel, reading, and studying Christian teachings.
